  107.         <p>Please note that Paint.NET uses your hard drive to store temporary 
  108.         files related to undo/redo. Because of this, actual disk space 
  109.         requirements will depend on the type of actions you perform on an image, 
  110.         and on the size of the image. These temporary files will be compressed 
  111.         if you are using the NTFS file system. This will result in less disk 
  112.         space being required, and better performance due to less hard drive 
  113.         activity.</p>

  115.         <p>Some systems have special attributes that change the way Paint.NET 
  116.         works or performs:</p>

  120.             <h3>Dual Core and Quad Core</h3>
  121.             <p>Paint.NET is heavily optimized for systems with multiple 
  122.             processors and/or multiple cores. These systems include (but are not 
  123.             limited to) those with Intel Core 2, Intel Xeon, Intel Pentium D, 
  124.             AMD Opteron, and AMD Athlon 64 X2 processors. You will see a 
  125.             dramatic performance increase over single core and single processor 
  126.             systems.</p>

  129.             </b><p>Since version 2.6, Paint.NET has had full, native support for 
  130.             64-bit processors. Benefits of 64-bit mode include better 
  131.             performance and the ability to work with larger or more images. This 
  132.             support requires that you have both a 64-bit capable processor and a 
  133.             64-bit operating system installed. An example would be an Intel Core 
  134.             2 Duo processor with a 64-bit version of Windows Vista.</p>
  135.             <p>You do not need to perform any additional configuration steps to 
  136.             enable 64-bit mode: as long as both your processor and operating 
  137.             system are 64-bit capable, Paint.NET will run in 64-bit mode.</p></li>

  139.             <h3>Tablet PC support</h3>
  140.             <p>Drawing with the stylus using the paintbrush tool is functional 
  141.             with complete pressure and asynchronous input support (it will 
  142.             always keep up, no matter your processor's speed).</p>
